Thanks for looking.
An officer of the 7th Hussars during Operation Crusader 1941.
Based on an illustration from Ospreys 'Montgomeys desert army'.
I love the sartorial taste of those pre-war officers, from his cricket sweater (Yorkshire county of course) to his old school scarf and coloured service cap.
1/35 D-day Miniatures figure with a modified Hornet head and arm.
Any comments are always welcomed.

Hi Paul

Now that I really like ...great painting and uncluttered but effective presentation

The cap really makes it but the scarf and jumper adds that bit extra ..., lots of detail hard to believe the scale

Why not put a puece into FOTM as well as voting in previous month

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Hi Paul as usually fantastic figure...i like so much this dday figure (i have it too) and appreciate so much your change in scarf and beret colour (is red??? becouse i remember a verlinden desert soldier with similar red colour beret , ex chota sahib........but your seems orange....may be the pictures??? ) and overall i love the face with your putty moustache...perfect for the character......!!!!

Congratulations

Mario from Italy.

Excellent painting Paul, my eyes are long gone and I live in the world of 1/10 scale busts and 120mm Figures, I was looking through a box full of old kits and found some 1/35 tamiya figures and as I struggled to make out the detail I thought to myself how the hell do painters manage to achieve facial toning, shading of the uniforms and equipment to such a high standard and here we go you have shown me another example of a special talent.
