I seem to be stalling with this figure so I've decided he doesn't need the sabretache, a closer look at the period photo shows one officer in a Sam Browne not wearing the silly thing.

Anyway when I looked at the piece I made the Prince of Wales feathers were way too big and would need redoing.

So cutting my losses I quickly finished up the details, added the scabbard and sword, though not impressed with the sword knot, but it'll have to do.

I will create a completed thread despite the figures short comings. Oh well such is life, also finishing this off with a case of gout wasn't the most pleasant days painting I've ever had.

I'm not a perfectionist and I'm always willing to let some things slide, but there are too many issues with this one. That and I lost interest in it when the tunic became a pain to paint, still it's better than what I could manage this time last year. Thank you anyway I'm pleased that you like it.

Cheers Kev, the lesson is worth an under par figure, the issue is will I learn the lesson. The answer is of course, probably not! Slight change of pace for the next piece.
