8th Hussar Regiment Bust

This is my latest figure - an 8th Hussar Regiment Trooper. The original piece is Verlinden's Hussar of Guard - Kingdom of Westphalia. I modified the shako plate. If you like Napoleonic hussars this is a great piece - lots of charactor. Painted in oils over acrylics. All comments are welcome.

Very nicely completed - not much of a fan of Verlinden's stuff I must admit but this is nicely done.

You`ve done a bang up paint job on this nifty conversion David. I`m finishing him up as the stock Westphalian and know while very detailed and crisp with a wonderful face, it`s not easy to paint due to the deep cut out on the one piece casting of the body/pelisse and undercut braid. Other then those huge mold blocks,and some fit issues, the Nappy period Verlinden busts stand up quite well IMO, and offer lots of conversion potential.
