The photo on the right is of Crimean veterans of the 95th, they lost a considerable amount of men, in the action, they were nicknamed the `Nails` as the survivors were considered to be hard as nails, them three look like bruisers, they all got Enfield rifles by then as has the rifleman on the left. Cheers for showing the pics.

Cheers Moz,

Having an afternoon of reading about the Crimea ! As I have said, this period is really new to me. So before the percussion Enfield was issued ! what Rifles were used ??.... Looking things up lol.

I think this piece would sit quite nicely on one Of Ron T's, bur wood base's.

there were some transitional percussion muskets, the first were converted from brown bess muskets, then there was the p1842 then the p1849, which were both crap apparently, think they were both smooth bore then the p1851 minie rifle , which was a rifled musket , then the enfield p1853.

Messed about a bit didn`t they considering the enfield .303 lasted 40 odd years and the slr and sa80 about 30 odd as it stands today

Great piece Karen and good to see in 90mm
The future looks bright :)
Best wishes
