Well, for one thing your photo is way too large for the forum. Members have to scroll this way and that way to see the whole figure. You also have alot of dead space around the figure.

Here is the same figure cropped....to remove the dead space.....and reduced in size to fit the screen.

I used "Paint Shop Pro" to ust reduce the size of the photo after I cropped the dead space out of your photo. I did not lighten it or anything else.......didn't really need it to me.

I would say you are on the right track......just reduce them and crop out the dead space.

I'm not so hot on the photography, but the painting looks good! This figure is next up on my bench and I hope it turns out as well as yours!

Dimitrios, what you lack in technical knowledge you certainly more than makeup for in painting skills, this is a real beaty. Well done!

That is a darn nice figure there!

Even the photography is pretty good.

I have found that a blue background generally works best in most situatiuons.

Hi,

Can't beleave my eyes....truely FANTASTIC....what a lovely paint job you have done on the figure you have shown us. You must show us all much more of your art work.

Kindest regards - lovely figurine.

Thank you all for the comments and the tips,i much appreciate it.and now i m trying to put the advice to work and post a back angle photo as guy told me.we ll see if it works.

Dimitros,

Here is a photo of my "Photo Set-up" right on my painting desk. I tape a Kleenix to the swing arm lamp (to defuse the light) and hold it right over or in front of the figure. I use a Mat Board scribed in half on the back at a backdrop and have several different colors, but blue seems to work the best. The wood box in the foreground acts as my tripod in keeping the camera steady to get a clear picture.

Here are a few pics of what is sitting on my desk to show you the effects of the Kleenix over the light.( you don't want to keep the lamp on the entire time as it heats up and makes removing the tape rather difficult. This is exactly what came from the camera with no additional enhancing of my photo program.

And here is the Templar Sergeant I am working on.....WIP

As you can see....you ould have to adjust the lamp some for each figure due to colors.....shadows....etc. For all the above pics I kept the lamp in the same position.

Hope this helps some.

I cannot thank you enough for the tips Guy. This Kleenix that you use is like a very thin paper?cause i never heard of it before. And one more queston:do you use some kind of special lense on you camera? By the way great work on your templar knight too.Waitting forward to see the final outcome.
