Hi Hardy...just super-smooth work, really beautiful start.
Look forward to seeing more progress.
(Is there a chance we might get a close look at this on the 15th August..??..I would love to see him in the flesh)

All the best...Roy.

Thanks all. This is a really great kit, can't believe its been so unpopular amongst painters. I haven't seen many around the shows...

Hi Roy, you betcha mate! He's coming down with me....Might have to hire a boat though.

Fantastic! another master piece!!!
waiting nervous the answer to my proposition-mail :)

all the best

Samuel.

Hardy,

I love your work, which in your case is obviously a labor of love. One question, I have this beautiful kit on my shelf, it appears from the box that Thraex was painted as a Nubian? Am I correct? TIA.

Rocky

I´m always inspired when I see your work, Hardy.

Perhaps I´ll even invest some time in one of my old "Dark Age" warriors next year.

This Gladiator´s coming along fine. And already sold!

Spike.

Hi Rocky, thanks for your kind comments. Yes he does seem to be a Nubian, if you look at the facial features he is definately of African birth. I have chosen to leave the face in black primer, as you cant see anything of it through that helmet. Hardy

What brand of black primer do you use?

Thanks all. Rocky, the primer I use is matt humbrol enamels.

Nearly finished the loin cloth, gone for a light blue here. Of course, it won't be that clean when I finish with it........ You can see more pics on my website www.hardytempest.moonfruit.com
