Alan... Many thanks for the comments, at least i know my face looks realistic if he ressembles a living person :)

Pedro... Thankyou very much.

Derek... Painting will begin hopefully soon as i want a break from sculpting for a bit.

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

As said elsewhere excellent sculpture and a great relaxed pose of the figure.
With a lot of attention to the details with stunning rifle!

Cheers,
Marcel.

Steve, a great figure. As usual the equipment and weapon are very well executed. I think this is the best face you have done, especially around the bottom lip and chin. It captures the mood you were looking for. The pose works too, he is languid and rather gangley as he would be.

Propotions are good, be careful where the shoulder joins to the arms, you are close to giving him a raglan sleve on the tunic.

Are you painting your current output or saving them all for a mega session with the brush?!

Marcel thanks mate i appreciate your comment.

Robert good to hear your thoughts on this one mate and i agree that this is my best face so far, i actually sculpted the head first then designed the figure around it, didnt even know what period the figure was going to be untill the head was complete, he nearly ended up as a 95th rifles.

`raglan sleve ` not sure what you mean by this mate !!

yeh painting gets put by till i have had enough of sculpting them painting gives me a nice break and revives the sculpting ideas.

All the best

Steve

Steve, I like that approach. The last two busts Ive done I've started with an expression and then decided what I wanted the subject to be! You're obviously not up with your knitwear! A raglan sleeve is one that doesn't have a seam at the top of the shoulder. What I was (inadequately) getting at was that the seams on the figure's jacket made his shoulders look a bit over wide. Mind you as he is a youth his jacket could be too big across the shoulders.:)

Ah thanks for the explenation Robert it all makes sense now mate, im going to have to learn up on my knitwear a bit more :)

all the best mate
