Hello Everyone!

Yesterday I finished this figure.
I painted it for a new company ( redcoat miniatures ).
It will available soon.
I hope you like it.

Every critism and reflection are welcome.

Best regards.

Laci.

At first sight this would be an interesting figure given the Victorian subject and period. Also the overall appearance with the greatcoat blowing in the wind reflects very well the hardship that the soldiers of the Crimean theatre had to endure. I really like about 75% of it with the underside of the greatcoat being the limit, however. I do not understand why the sculptor placed the legs at such a wide distance. This looks very unnatural, stiff and unbalanced and in combination with the musket's stock dangling into the air, and the left arm simply hanging down, spoils it completely for me.

I am truly sorry but from a customers viewpoint having so much choice with so many impeccable figures on the market these details really count.

I think this figure show right how cold can bee in Russia. You are standing there in a trench and think I would like to go home... brrrr
Nice figure, a different work. Congrats!

Cheers,

Looks great! I agree that perhaps a little less spread of the legs could have benefited, but the pose portrays (to me, at least) a tired but alert man.

Really like this figure - he obviously standing facing a bracing cold wind hence the wide leg stance - like in particular the jacket greys - care to share your mix for this ? This grey one I am struggling with at the moment..
Again thanks...:)
