Something I have wanted to do for a while, finally got the Warriors guy from my resin pimp Engee, and went at it. The turret/wedgie is made using sheet plastic, fortunately the Panther turret is rather basic without a lot of fittings and such to worry about. The latch for the rear hatch was probably the most complicated part. Zimmerit was done using PC-11 Epoxy paste troweled in with a piece of the metal teeth from a packing tape dispenser. Horizontal and vertical lines were freehanded in with a scrap piece of plastic. I am currently detailing the interior cupola periscopes, the cupola isn't glued down at this point. The sighting vane is a piece of old Verlinden PE cut to shape and bent, with a couple of bolts added. The welds on the periscopes were all done, or redone, using Magic Sculp. The weld bead around the top of the turret is made using wood glue dabbed on with a brush. The screws in the roof top smoke bomb thrower (Nahverteidigungswaffe) came from 2 old pairs of sunglasses. The commander has been modified by repositioning and resculpting the arms as needed, cutting off and adding a new Warriors head, sculpting the neck to have him turning and looking up ( "was that a glint on a Jabo canopy...?"), and I am in the process of turning his rather meaty hands into gloves. He will be holding binoculars in his left hand. I replaced the broken visor on his hat with sheet plastic. This is the second go around at painting the base and only some basic weathering has been done at this point. I still need to add turret numbers to the rear and right side. Then washes, dry brushing, chipping, fading, cursing and probably more cursing before I get it to my satisfaction. Anyhow, hopefully this won't end up in my "lost mojo" pile. On to the pics!

Looked over and caught him fraternizing with a few members of the lost mojo platoon!

It was bigger, I started off building the turret full height and almost all the way to the base of the mantlet. It kind of overwhelmed the figure, but at that point I was considering an open rear hatch with another crew member sitting in it. I decided to scale it back a bit,the previously mentioned lost mojo pile started calling to me...:cautious: Its now about 1/2-2/3 height, and the front cut back at an angle to make it more wedgie-like.

This is perhaps my most favorite series of models/figures.....the 1/9 scale series from Warriors.
It's a pity that they cannot be reproduced by a company and the web is full with cheap and bad quality recasts..
I do have all the series and I am looking forward to build them.
Well done for your job , I m sure you will enjoy the building and I am looking forward to see the final result!

This looks great....Hope it doesn't rest in peace with the rest with the platoon...
Yes..."Warriors" did produce some nice stuff that still sits in my stash to bring out on occasion to admire.
