The original figure (in metal) is actually of very good quality (I have one, see picture above). However, the assembly is very complicated and is a real challenge in itself. I can see that this 'new' one is a resin version and the parts are not the same at all by the way.
Anyway, Andrea has lost its share of the market a long time ago.

Yes, I agree with you. I had this figure about 20+ years ago. It is complex one! I didn't know this was a resin version. I wish you luck in our new project and I look forward to the result.

I am not going to buy it, but I must say I really liked how the diorama looked in the video, the contrast between the dark room and the twilight sun was quite impressive.

On the 'who might buy this', I might be able to offer a different perspective. I'd consider buying something like this if I had the money. I'm relatively new to figure painting but have been making models for a while. What I lack (aside from money, skill, looks, charm and so on) is time, the time to build up skills. There are lots of things I see other people make that I would like to have a go at but don't have the time or skill to invest, I also have an annoyingly short attention span with hobbies and so these 'everything in a box' type pieces are quite appealing.

As I said though, it's way out of my price range. At the same time there seem to be loads of people out there for whom price is no obstacle when it comes to buying kits, I suspect if they were in my shoes they'd just go for it. I suspect it's the £600 large scale lancaster of the figure modelling world.
