Greetings and happy new year fellow planateers
I finished this one just before Christmas, but thought you'd have had enough of fella's in red coats so saved it till now.
In case you don't recognise him it's one of the old Chota Sahib 54mm range by Sid Horton. 45th Bengal Infantry. c.1900. I was inspired by a photo that I found on t'interweb of another officer from the same period pausing as if he was about to be introduced at a formal gathering. The lush greenery of the plants complimenting the red of the uniform.
I added a few more wrinkles and details to the sash and turban because I thought they looked a little flat, but otherwise it's a straight paint job.
Groundwork is DAS with the steps being miliput. I tried several ways to make the pots and eventually settled on inserting a piece of wire in a roughly shaped piece of miliput nad turning them in a mini-drill once it had hardened off.
Hope you like him
(Pictures were taken using my wife's phone by the way)
