Hello Folks
This model was originally sculpted many years ago by the late Pete Morton. Adam McMaster has re worked itfor me and I am producing a limited run of kits.
It depicts a Major of the 57th Regiment comforting a very young drummer during the Peninsular campaign. It would be a simple conversion to represent other regiments of the era.
If anyone is interested the price is £65.00 + shipping.
Uk = £4.50
Europe = £10
Everywhere else = £15.00
Please email me on [email protected] with your country of residence and I will arrange an invoice as soon as one is available.
I hope to have some for the South Cheshire Show at Nantwich in 2 weeks
Cheers
Gordon

I really like it. Does anybody know though, if there really were such young drummers in that period?. It seems unlikely to me, but happy to be proved wrong. I mean, could they even carry a drum for any length of time, let alone stand in the line of battle for many hours. I do wonder if it isn’t simply romanticised Victorian illustrators that started it all.

There was no minimum age so in theory any child could be one, I suspect the lowest practical age would be around 12, so it's quite possible.
