I realised that I haven't posted many of my recent figures so when a club member took a decent couple of photo's of the one's I entered at the recent Salisbury IMPS show I thought I'd stick them on here. Both are Pegaso 54 mm and painted in acrylics with a bit of extra work on the bases ;)

I was disappointed to see that the quilted armour on the Greek wasn't moulded in, but it proved an enjoyable exercise trying to paint it. Lot's of fun doing the shields and eventually settled on the designs after trying several different ones on card first.
Cheers

These two caught my eye immediately when I saw them in the competition room at Salisbury Paul.
They looked superb, and it's a pleasure to see them again.
I understand from Nap that you got gold and silver.
Are these the parties in question?

Cheers,
Andrew

Wow Paul, your painting style is superb mate, love these two. Great freestyle on the shields too.
Having a break in Pembrokshire for a week but hope to finish a Norman knight when I get back.

Cheers Guys :)
Glad you enjoyed them Andrew - Yep guilty as charged I'm afraid. The Celt won and the Greek picked up silver (Got a H/C for the third one which was a Gladiator and one of my own favourites. Oddly someone said they don't award bronzes at this show?)

Cheers

Thanks Bob

Looking forward to seeing the Norman finished up - a lot of freedom of expression with shields and clothing and some great figures produced.
