a durer-mounted landsknecht

can anyone help me i am looking for a print of landskecht by a. durer. i will using this for a 28mm warhammer figures exactly it will be one figure only so if you can help do so.

I am not sure but I think what you are looking for is a Durer woodcut titled, "Knight, Death and the Devil." Try Google for a picture.

I am pretty sure you are talking about this one. It's not a landsknecht in the strict sense but an armed convoy rider.

The Durer print is typical of german mounted soldiers, knights, men at arms of the mid 15thc.
Landsknechts (servant of the land) were really a little later than this period and were assembled in the late 1480's as lowland troops of germany to differentiate them from the Swiss mercenary companies and were typicaly pikemen and foot soldiers or gunners (arqubusiers) and artillery. They were originaly organized by the Emperor Maximillian and alot of their influence is from the Swiss. Their hay day is in the early 1500's and seem to reach their pinacle around 1515. There are very few (if any that I can recall) references to mounted landsknechts. I think you would be happier looking for german Ritters (knights) of the mid to late 15th c.

Renarts, you hit the nail. Dürer's drawing is dated 1493, so it is typical of an armoured rider of the late 15th century. It is said to depict an MAA (maybe even a poor nobleman, a 'free lancer' in the original meaning) as hired by the rich Nuremberg tradesmen to convoy their goods across the country.

There is an entire series of Dürer's drawings dated 1503 showing landsknechts of the very early type. None of them is mounted.
