Nice piece, great use of bright colours as well. Is the flower motif sculpted on or is it all hand painted???? Thanks for showing

Both the gown motifs, as the headdress ones, are sculpted (fortunately... )

An acrylic Matt varnish coat or two over the skin should take out the shinyness. I get the same problem sometimes and this will work.

I'm thinking of giving her a free beauty parlour session... after all this heat she maybe needs it!

To kill the shine I use Windsor & Newton Artisits Matt Varnish. It's made for oils. But make sure the paint is cured before applying. On a painting with a thicker application of paint you need to wait up to a year. On thinly coated items like a miniature, a couple of months is good.

Thanks, pals! I'll take care of her following your indications, Roland. As for the tassels, Joe, they come with the kit. They only need a little of water-diluted white glue to stay straight and even.
