I love surprises, especially nice ones :)

I bought some of Jackson's own brand synthetic brushes recently, on Black Friday to be precise because:

a) they were cheap, and I mean really cheap. I got 6 brushes for less than a tenner.
b) I needed some brushes for undercoating and rough work, my series 7s hadn't got to that stage yet.

And the surprise....they're really good (no really). They have a similar springy feel to my S7s and (so far) have held a point that is as good as the S7s too. No hooking yet but only time will tell. I've been using them exclusively on my current project, The Few bust, and to be honest I haven't missed my other brushes at all. No problems covering large areas and they handle fine detail just as well (today I have been mostly colouring in eyes :))

So there you go, I'm shocked and stunned (in a good way) and also slightly smug ;) this is tempered a little bit by the fact that I also bought 2 x #1 Series 7 brushes in the same order for about £16 that are now sitting unloved in my brush jar :(

Anyhoo, these are the ones I got, back up to full price now (but still cheap):

Sizes 3/0, 0 and 1 (two of each)

I should probably add that I've only used them with oils so far but I like them.......a lot :)
