Good morning everybody!
Few days ago and while I was surfing in planet
my inspiration hit me-thanks everybody-and decided to
take my Tamiya 1/16 scale Rommel oyt of my little cabinet...
Not too much happened till then but I wanted to take an extra step
and post some photos here too!
Oh my,was I brave today.
So please take a look, only his head is under coated with Vallejjos dark flesh,
and hit me!

so here goes the masters Mr Paine book, some study and the results after 90'.

Sorry for the bad pictures-bad camera...
Looking forward for your comments and critics.
Have a nice evening...

Well, after some days with a lot of work I managed to
find some time for my favourite hobby.
I prepared the generals body and started fooling around with his
jacket..
I undercoated the supposed white jacket with vallejo's sky grey
and started to make several highlights with a mix of sky grey and white.
I am thinking to continue this way until I end up with a pure white highlight.
So please let me know what do you think and make any comments you like,I really need them!

The face is showing promise. I would suggest some darker shadows though. WHen using oils you can use some dark colors and blend them quite well. I exclusivly use oils for everything and love them. Good work so far

Hi Michelangelo!...good skin tone...just one thing...seems to be a bit polished...have you tried to put the mini under the lamp or in a little oven? I think that you need to opacfy a bit... :)

good job
Stef

Jcichon and Lancio thank you very much for your comments,I really appreciate it.
This one is my first try in oils and Iam pleased with it.
By the way the photos were taken directly after painting and the oils were still wet but I will ''cook'' my next figure under my lamp...thanks for the tip!!!
