A subtle difference between sculpting and modelling is what I noticed, while working on the following.

It sounds like a boudoir philosophy argument, but it seems to me the same like subtracting and adding, asking and arguing, discovering and preserving, ying and yang... (or it's just the warm side effect on the neurons ?).

Just a cutter and one pencil. I started from a ball of magicsculpt, trying to give it some meaning with a cutter (it sounds a bit psychopathic, but effective...). Don't know what it will be, at the moment is just a little head (1,7 cm, 1/10 scale ?).

I know that for experienced sculptors out there this thread will be like pure foolishness, but repressing the enthusiasm of a new experience, with a such warm, is not so easy...

The add procedure, as soon as possible...

Luca, There is no single method that works best, it what works for you that is important.~Gary

Thanks Tomas and Gary for your comments.

I never imagined how hard will be (for me) to sculpt a head. Another big nose, but it's not Dante this time. Not sure about proportions, but I only have a profile view of the subject.

The chin must be resized a bit, but I think there is something out of ratio, like the eyes and the lips too small if compared with the overall size of the head.

Some of the vignette/bases I just made (not yet on the market) gives me the opportunity to practise a little more with the sculpting stuff. The following is just a test (not yet finished) among more settings. Not related to this thread, but I like to see it together with the big head above...

The inspirations comes from the two Greek heads below.

Don't know about the scale, something between 70/80 mm.

As always I'm not satisfied with the result, lips and nose does not look as I want, but is just another test...
