A.W.I Horse funiture and Booze

I'm currently making a 2 figure diorama of Baylor's 3rd Continental Dragoons using old airfix and historex parts .My first question is, I've added a few bottles of wine , would they have had labels or just be plain bottles .
My second question were the saddlebags connected like western saddlebags or was there another way they were attached , as I want 1 of the figures carrying 2 saddlebags ,I can't seem to find any detailed imformation showing how they were made . Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks Dan for the info. I think I've found what need ,plus now another conversion I want to do.
