Going to try posting photos for the first time. Any comments are welcome.
On 29 February, 1704 a village, not far from where I live was attacked by a combined force of French and Natives. Deerfield was the northwestern most settlement in New England, making it the target of many raids. This raid was significant because of the number of captives taken, 112. Most of these survived the 300 mile walk to Canada where most were ransomed and a few remained.
This Warrior is in ambush as a relief party tries to make a rescue.
Hope you like him.
Herb

Nicely done Herb. This is a nice sculpt, who makes it and is it 54mm? Love the way he fits the ground work and is steadying his gun in the crook of the tree. Cool piece!

Hello Jay,
I think the warrior is from Soldiers (or SGF) italian firm, and he is in 54mm (better to say about 60mm) sculpted by Rendall Patton.
Best regards

Thank you all for the comments:).
It was a very nice sculpt. I had lost the paper work so i didn't know who sculpted it. It is a 54, he is big but when I tried to use 60 mm parts they were way out of scale. I replaced most of the musket, the tomahawk handle, his left ear, and made new moccissins to better reflect winter foot wear.
The base is Durham's Water Putty painted with Vallejo white and pale blue.
Snow is baking powder mixed with a combination of Woodland Scenics and Hudson and Allen snow.
The bare tree is a piece of shrub root and the two little evergreens are made from sections of tree root that I super glued moss, that is sold in model railroad shops to make pine trees, on to.

Nicely done, Herb. Great setting, and very realistic. The groundwork really accentuates the whole scene, including your smart paint job.

Cheers,

Kyle

Herb,

Really nice job! I would hate to meet this guy as I went to the well for a bucket of water at 5 AM. Looking forward to your company at MFCA.
