Hello to all.

I you want to raise a doubt that I have:

I am starting shaping my own pieces (shoes, torsoes, etc) to do molds of them and to be able to do pieces of resin for my personal use.

The topic of the molds to do it with good results. I use silicona white for such an end(purpose), and a few marvellous molds stay.

The problem they are the pieces of resin. On having treated itself about very small pieces, having introduced the resin in the mold it(he,she) is very dificl, and always bubbles appear in the same one.

The question is:

.-Since(As,Like) these troublesome bubbles eliminate?
- That type of resins can i use for this intention?

Thank you very much

Pd. sorry, i use a software translator

You need to allow for the air to escape by using vent holes. Also do not shake up the resin before pouring but stir it gently instead. Shaking causes bubbles.

Isaac,

First i would buy some biresin G27 (resin and hardener) This is a very forgiving resin. Next when you set up the mould you need to add air bleeds to take the air from the casting when it's poured. It's not simple to explain in an email, it all comes with experience. Do you have any friends that cast resin in your region? This would help you a lot!!!
With the moulds you already have, you need to cut the bleeds into the moulds with a scalpel. They only need to be small, enough to accommodate the air that is trapped.

I hope this helps a little.

Carl
