We made our research for existing sets for painting ACW figures. We found 2 sets for painting Blue & Grey Blue hues and the Vallejo Set that has all the necessary codes for painting almost every detail on a ACW miniature. So here we have a suggestion for painting American Civil War miniatures with acrylic sets and how to work and saturate the paints for better results. These sets are coming from Scale 75, AK-Interactive and Vallejo Model Color. Enjoy the video! In the back you can see some primed 54mm Shenandoah Metal Miniatures that are excellent to start painting and experiment with these hues! Enjoy the video. More information for painting miniature figures, scale models, dioramas & vignettes can be found in Mr Black Publications books!

Hello Kevin,
We are collecting the material now but the book or books are on schedule. Definitely a big part will be covered from the well known company Shenandoah Minis (by Paul Clarke) as their series has the most comprehensive figures, accessories etc. on American Civil War. I have found just one book from Schiffer for ACW figure painting with oils. And recently a wargames book (Painting War Series). I really do not know how many people are painting ACW figures but as you know for Mr Black Publications this it does not matter. The most important thing is to make a really useful book so everyone that will paint an ACW theme can use it and get helped as much as possible. I really would like to know your ideas, opinions and suggestions.

All the best
Stelios

That AK interactive set looks pretty comprehensive. I've got a few of those eighteen color sets they are quite nicely done.
