Just a quick word about some addtions that have been made to the site. Of course there's a couple more models of mine on there, but there's also a "Guest Modeller"section that's been added too.
This will be a regularly updated area, featuring a different modeller each time. Just to start it going, Dave Ashby has agreed for me to feature his models, and there's also a short biographical section about him as well.
I'd be grateful for any feedback about the site, how it's developing, and especially about this new addition.
Please feel free to either contact me via the guest book on the site, or via the e-mail connection.
Adrian.

Just had a look, good website, nice pictures. Nice painted figures too !

If I may just suggest something (if you allow me) - why don't you do an SBS on your website ? As I recall from articles in Military Modelling, I found your approach to large scale figures and busts interesting (airbrushed undercoats etc.).

So, Adrian, how about an sbs on how to paint a large scale figure ?

cheers,

Johan

Ok. Johan. next month when the site's updated I'll put an article on about one of the large scale figures - probably one of the female subjects, in all likelyhood it'll be the Godess in Alloy ( hey it's about the biggest model on the site at 24 inches ( 600mm ) tall.
I'm not too sure about the pictures that I have for it, so the next time I do a large scale kit, then I'l take some shots part way through to let you see what's happening.
There should be an article about the minotaur soon too, just got to get that one typed up.
Thanks for the comments.
Adrian

Hello Adrian.

I've enjoyed your articles for a very long time. It's great that you have a web site.

I like the layout of your site and the multiple images of each figure. Not really much to add in the way of improvements from my viewpoint. Keep up the great work.

Adrian, Nice job on the website. I like the addition of a guest gallery. Painter Kreston Peckham has one on his webpage as well and it's a neat little touch. It's nice to see a personal page that's not just a "all about me" site. I also like the idea of an sbs. If you don't do one on your page, why not do one here? There's always plenty of room. :) ~Gary

Thanks to one and all for the comments so far - please keep them coming.
Gary mentions doing an SBS for Planetfigure, and when I've got time, and something that's not for an article in Military Modelling, then I'll certainly think about it.
Then again, what would entice you to visit my website, if I put the SBS here, ha ha !
Seriously though, I'll try and get something ready at some point.
Thanks once again.
Adrian.

Hi Robin and Adrian

Great site, inspirational. Just what I need, a kick up the proverbial to get painting again. Look forward to site updates and articles.

HI All

Its update time on the Adrian Hopwood site and have we got a treat for you this month.

Guest modeller is no less than Mr Brian Snaddon himself, with a lovely array of his finished figures for you to see and a bio about the man himself.

Also with a finished Stormtroopers 54mm Napoleon and one or two started this month for Adrian

Adrian and myself have lately been talking about the development of the site and we were wondering what if anythign you would like to see.

Hello All

Its update time again at Adrian Hopwoods website.

This month we have added the next stage in the demi brigade busts paint plus a new starter in the workbench in an Alpine WW2 tanker.

The article that makes a visit to the site worth doing is the Guest modeller this month is sorely missed Derek Holmes, Adrian asked permission of his parents and this article is the first of two to come on this great modeller.

Robin

Comments as always welcome.

Thanks for the update Robin..I check the site often...Well done to Adrian for that lovely profile on Derek...very well written and some great pics to look at too.

All the best...Roy.
