Hi,
I painted a dwarf (Broin Bearsonn), now it is time for an elf, because I love fantasy :)

All parts are washed, minor cleanup, I use GSW glue and AK acrylic filler (if any needed).
I will paint first the body, because some areas will be hard to reach if all parts are glued.
The base I put only for holding the figure, I will make another vignette.

Cheers!

I used kind of NMM technique for TMM, with gradual transition from darker metal to lighter.
For the shadows I used AK Rusty gold, muted with flat black to reduce the shine. Then with gradual application of Dwarven gold, Elven gold and Citrine alchemy for highlight.
For colored effects I used thinned Inktense green and violet.

Hi Venko

Catching up on this , a really nice looking figure , do like the way you've painted the hair and the cloak , very effective

There lots of details on this and it's all being brought out well

Interested in what yiu mean by using NMM to do TMM ?

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to more

Happy benchtime

Thanks!

I tried to combine NMM approach (not entirely :) ) with the TMM, with different colors and highlights on the metal, not just one base color and some highlight.
Also I added black to the darkest gold for the shadows, it will mute the shine.
It is hard to notice on pictures, but on live the effect is nice.

I mixed Scale75 Elven gold with Inktense Chestnut and Inktense Wood for bronze color and added some verdigris patina, around the nuts.
The shield was decorated with stylized tree-one of the main symbols of the elves and some other decorations. The inside was painted with wood grain.

Cheers!

I received my Redgrass palette this week, and I will say that I like it very much-the paper is very nice and allows enough moisture to keep the paints wet for long time. I will experiment more with the water ratio in the pallet, but overall an "A" :)

I painted the sword with various metallics, Vallejo Steel is very good for dark steel base, AK Silver for highlights (I like it more than Vallejo Silver). The inks will give those magical hues for more fantasy appearance ;)

Cheers!
