Hi

Remembering the original photo when it was first published many years ago, I would say you have done a fantastic job with this figure and very realistic flesh tones to boot as well, as far as the comments regarding the eyes is concerned not everyone remembers that in the human face the two sides are not symmetrical so some variation on feature size and placement is quite natural, and often included's either a mild squint or the eyes either too close or too far apart.

So keep up the good work and who knows what trend you will be starting, lifelike face painting, (Not before you drag the brush from my cold dead hands) I hear some of them shouting

Paul

Mario, thanks for your comment. I'll think about it a bit!

Marc, thanks very much! Yeah, it's a beautiful image, that picture. Mind you, the girl was only about 13 years old when it was made!

Les, thanks a lot!

Eduardo, I am so glad you like her, thanks.

Jeff, thanks a lot!

Paul, You are quite right about natural variability I think. The thing is here that I have that captivating original picture and the girl's gaze is just perfect, no squinting whatsoever. I realized at the start that the eyes are essential to the finish, so I'm affraid they have to be perfect. Well, as perfect as I can get them at least. Problem is that my own eyes are not that good, and I'm starting to think this is the best I can achieve... Thanks for your comment.

David, thanks. I hope to get more done over the weekend.

Krom, thank you very much.

Ruben, Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Adrian

Adrian - I think you have the eyes 98% there and I expect that they look spectacular in real ife. And I agree that the painted flesh is superb. I wouldn't mess with it, be proud of it as is.

Colin

Thank you Sam!

Colin, thanks again. I've decided not to change the irises, but to see if a slightly enlarged pupil will do the trick. Will do that with oil paint so that I can always go back to what I have now. Hope to get some work done over the weekend.

Cheers guys,
Adrian

Really dig this, Adrian. I have to say what others have already which is this one is closest to the photograph versus other versions I've seen. Looking forward to seeing this progress buddy.

Great start Adrian ! You have a very good eye for colour. The painting of the eyes is bang on the money and with the tweaks you mentioned they will be perfecto. ! ; )

Carlos

Mike, thanks!

Dan, thank you. I'm not good with painted catchlights, so I'll use a gloss coat on the eyes. There are no sculpted eyebrows. I hope painting them works out.

Thanks a lot Stephen! Glad you like her.

Carlos, thanks, much appreciated!

Joe, thanks a lot!

Thanks for the positive feedback and your comments guys. I appreciate them!
