Hi folks,
Here I am again.
Because of my operation, I could paint for 7hours or more on one day. And it's been a great time
So, this figure's almoste done. Only need the left hand with the rifle... But I'll have that one tomorrow. And some details...

But I got one question: Does someone knows how the collar tabs looks like? In what collor they were?

The Collars tabs were the same as them of normal soliers except that there were brown/sand lines in stead of the black one.

And what you could do on your figure is to paint some claws and spots where the field grau color appears on the helmet (like we can see on this helmet). It would give a more "warrior" looking to the figure.

I think this head with the helmet is a good choice! I agree with Laurent, some weathering would top it off. Keep us posted, want to see this little guy finished up!

Hi all,

Laurent, Thx for the tip!!! I like it! I'm gonne start right away with it! It gives indeed a 'warrior' look and it breaks the yellowish from the whole thing!
So the tabs were black background and brown/sand lines? I've been looking for that on the internet, but nothing found about it :s

Jay: Thx for the comment. Once he's finished, I'll post some pictures. That's a promise... I'll ask Gino to make some... He's got a better cam than I do... If he wants to :lol:

Guy: This friday its been a month... I can allready walk for almost a week, but still... Got some pain inside my knee. And it's standing realy thick. So I keep myself calme with figurepainting. Else it won't work I guess.

Ik zal morgen weer schitteren door afwezigheid. Ik werk morgen ver weg in de Nederlanden.
Graag zou ik willen weten welk figuur in Zelzate goud heeft gewonnen..

Wat je Africa corps betreft. Het ziet er goed uit, nog even met MIG pigmenten strooien :lol: :lol: en het komt weer goed.
Alleen ik zou de oogjes overdoen. Het kan ook de foto zijn, maar volgens mij zijn ze een beetje "popeyed ". Boven en onderste ooglid een beetje aflijnen zal ook al afdoende zijn.

Hoi marc,

het zal aan de foto liggen. Want ik zie toch niets abnormaal aan de oogjes Het strooien met de pigmenten komt nog zeker!! Maar eerst moet hij op zijn grondvoetje vastgemaakt worden. Dat hij kan inblenden.

Hetgene wat in Zelzate goud had, was mijn Russisch tankertje: Boris. Ik was er zeer tevreden mee. Ook was het 'maar' bij de beginners. Eerste stappen zijn dus gezet eh
Ik weet niet of ik je na morgen nog op de club ga kunnen zien. Hoewel, 5/9 zal de laatste keer zijn. De week erna begin ik weer met werken normaal gezien. Als de dokter het licht op groen zet tenminste. En dan zit ik met de late shift als het de club avond is... Jammer genoeg!

5 september zal ik er zeker zijn.
Er moeten dan nog afspraken gemaakt worden voor Folkstone.
Ik zie je dan.
En als ik wat langer naar de oogjes kijk zie ik inderdaad dat je ze afgelijnd hebt. In werkelijkheid zal het dus meevallen.
