Hello everyone!

That's my first post on this forum and also first 1/10 bust I've ever painted.
I've always been painting 28 mm miniatures so that was a huge model for me.
But that was also great experience and a chance to learn something new.
I wanted him to look tired after long battle.

I'm waiting for Your critique and comments, and hope You like him.

Pastor, this is excellent work for a first bust! .. Going from 28mm to this, is a huge transition! .. but you have carried it well. Very nice tones and weathering! The face is just lovely.

Regards,

Mark

well done, a very nicely painted first bust, this particular bust is very popular, i've seen so many here on PF(I painted one myself). Did you find the transition from 28mm easy?

Cheers Zane

Real nice work on this.Big transition from 28mm to this, but you have carried it of really well.Look forward to seeing more of you work

Thank You very much for replies and I'm glad You like him.
To be honest I thought that transition from 28mm to 1/10 will be more difficult, but it was quite... enjoyable ;)
I've got problem only with smooth transitions between colours or tones - in 28mm transitions should be strong, because it looks better on such small miniatures, but in 1/10 it should be more smooth, I think.

I've got one question related to this bust.
Usually I've been painting miniatures for my "personal use" - sometimes I've painted mini in 28mm for friends.
But I wonder how much could I get if I would like to sell this bust or another. I mean, how much is worth 1/10 bust painted on this level. I know it isn't painted on superb level, but I've never sold any miniature so I have no idea about it. I just don't want to price it too low or too high.
Thank You in advance for replies.

I've said this before on another post of this bust, full marks for painting such a hard bust as a "firstie". It's the hardest bust I've ever painted. My only criticism are the eyes but we'll done anyway.

Nice work certainly a different approach can I suggest you put some highs on the beard...

Agree with Jazz about the eyes looks like he has no pupils so just a revisit to these should sort them out (put a red wash around the eyes to help the tired effect (lots of tutorials here the one in the articles section by Mark B is good).

As for price shame to sell IMO as you have made a good job of this ...very difficult to value it up .......something in the region of maybe £80-100

Well done on this the first ..looking forward to seeing more busts from you

Thanks for sharing

Thank You for replies guys!
I know eyes didn't look like they should, because I added too much highlights to iris (light blue) and left too thin black border between iris and rest of the eye. It looks beeter close up, but I know I have to do it better next time. I read some of these tutorials, but just forgot about a little bit of red wash ;)

I don't want to sell this one - I've asked about it, because if somebody wants me to paint his miniature I want to know what to tell albout the price.
