AFV / aircraft / ships forum - any interest?

I have to admit doing the eyes on those 1/1200 scale ship crew figures is quite a challenge for me these days.

No I'd have to agree there are plenty of good fora out there that cover the subject without pF doing the same, although I do like to see the occasional well done AFV.

But I have always thought that this being a figure forum it wouldn't be out of place for us to have a subforum just for pictures of naked girls.
Classy tasteful ones of course, a place where one could appreciate the female figure and get some inspiration for .....um figure modelling.

I have heard there's sites for that pursuit too Mark.

Rather we didn't. There are lots of other forums for that. I can see an alternate reality where it grows too fast and figures become second class ctizens. A certain once great and now crap UK modelling magazine with the initials MM proves this can occur.

Being a new guy here take this for what it is worth but I came here for the obvious reason figures. I have looked at other plastic forums and there always seems to be a headache involved in one way or
The other. One thing that doesn't happen here that's why I think it's the best to leave it be

Hey how about two tiny corners here: one for 1/6 collectors figures, and another to war gaming ready to display platoons?

I collect 1/6 too who knows alone here ...

I like Roger's idea. Seems to me that the Lounge is a natural and already established location for such postings.

If we go into the major newsagents and count the model magagines available; there are about 14 for aircraft, and quite few for armour and general models.
For figures we have to count on the fingers of one finger to find one on general sale.
I used to buy military modelling magazine, but it's a complete waste of time for me now, I was even sadly disappointed with the euro special.
That leaves me with planet figure and sometimes another forum that has undiluted content, and holds my interest.
It has to be said a lot of fun and friendly banter too.
It was with some sadness and a drawn out oh nooooooooo that I read the header post on this thread.

I don't want to have to go back to that place.
I can even smell the mek-pak outside the door waiting to step in saying "only me"
I have made a ship, a thing with wings and another with wheels. I had to make a range of 'eavy metal lumps with sticky out guns as an afv recognition instructor my day.
But folks, those dark days are gone, I'm clean now.
I only paint things that own legs, (whether they are actually cast or not).
I shall have to ask you not to open this new tedium, I mean forum.
I've nothing against kit bashers, I sit next to them, I am in clubs with them,
I meet them at shows, but on here can we just stick to the core business that has attracted 6,500 members thus far.
I want to plow on straight and narrow minded
