Hi All,

I decided to build a Christmas themed model this year. So I choose the 1979 kit from the Airfix Wildlife Series of Robins. These are 1/1 scale and are extremely good for their age. I was expecting a nightmare as the kit was so old. But the engineering of the kit is really well done. Only a smidge of filler was needed. The kit comes with the tree branch and the holly. It was really nice to paint something different. As usual all painted in acrylics. The snow effect was done using microballoons.

Hope you all manage to have a Happy Christmas

Cheers

Steve

Very nicely done Steve, it's all great but I particularly like how you've painted the feathering on their wings and backs. Very realistic.

Very festive Steve :)

Unusual choice and I only vaguely remember the kit when it first appeared (being more interested in Monogram tanks and hairyplanes) It's stood up really well and I'd be tempted if I spotted one of the range having seen how yours has turned out - Nice (y)

Have a great Christmas

Nice job Steve, especially on the setting. That's a golden oldie for sure

Enjoy your Christmas and don't forget to feed the birds!!:D
