I bought a different 75mm 'Akritis' Byzantine last year at Euro and it was a very nice piece with fine resin casting and details. This one however looks a bit 'stiff' by comparrison and it's not a particularly interesting pose with the spear just leaning against his shoulder - sorry! Maybe the single photo does not do it true justice? I would have to see it close up before I bought this one as well.

Yes, the pose is way too stiff. Would like to see it painted up though, and will reserve final judgment until then. As Gary says, perhaps the photo doesn't do it justice.

I too bought the other Akritis Byzantine at last year's Euro (lovely figure), and the 54mm cavalryman is also very nice.
