I just finished my last minaiture, a 90mm Alatriste
Miniature wasn’t easy. Model itself could be better and some wrinkles hadn’t any sense so it needed lot of sanding and sculpting work preparing the figurine. I shaped almost all wrinkles in trousers directly over metal with my rotatory tool and some fo them needed material (stuff) to sculp them from nothing.
It was 2 complete days just preparing (16 working hours, but it deserved making a much more solid model, even if i’m not completely happy with the coat).
Painting work itself wasn’t so hard, but it was slow as figurine have lot of leather textures.
Worst part was to build the coat as it was impossible to paint below it mounted, so It must be glued and pinned painted.
And must say that customer doesn’t want a scenic base.
