Confederate Standard Bearer

It's a very nice figure but IMHO the rifle seems to 'throw' the figure somewhat.

A battle flag with that amount of cloth and a large pole would be a significant weight and I cannot see how he could run / march into battle with the flag whilst carrying around a firearm other than a pistol. He couldn't possibly wave the flag or use it to rally men with one arm only.

Perhaps if it is supplied with optional left arms (with/without the rifle) it may have more wipespread appeal?

Other than this single issue, I like it a lot.

Love the figure. However, as others have mentioned, the rifle throws it "off", that's primarily because color guards on both sides were not permitted to bear arms. Except, perhaps a knife or short sword. MAYBE a pistol if it was picked up on the battlefield or their own personal item.
