Bust of Alexander the Great from Alexandros Models based on the famous mosaic found at Pompeii. After some debate I decided to make him fair-haired as described by Plutarch and other ancient sources (none of whom were contemporaries) although the aforementioned mosaic depicts him with dark hair. Beautiful sculpt and a pleasure to paint but this casting had numerous pin holes (at least one of which I see I missed in his hair!) and wasn't up to what I have come to expect from this company. Majority painted in oils over acrylics with the yellow metals done in acrylics and the white metals with burnishing powders.

This is the first time I have posted pictures and they appear be be rotated 90 degrees! If anyone can point me to any posted instructions on how to fix them it would be much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback and to Nap for the instructions on getting posted photos to remain upright! The tips and techniques that I have picked up from the many excellent painters on this site over the years has certainly helped me to improve my own work. Now if I could just learn how to free-hand...;)
