Hello all. First post ever.

Just completed my first alexandros 54 mm figure (Roman Imanginifer) and it towers over the andrea and pegaso figures right next to it. It looks way larger then 54 mm and it appears quite weird in relation.

Just wondering if anyone else has the same opinion?

Hi David
First off welcome :)

I've not made the particular figure which you mention, but nominal'54 mm' figure do vary a lot!
Some manufacturers measure to the eyeball others to the top of the head and of course all people are different anyway. (I've a Durendal French Infantryman 54 which looks beautiful is well sculpted and lends itself to a small vignette, but it's waaaaaay bigger than the 54's produced by Metal Modelles which I usually favour for Napoleonics - hey ho)

Truth is there is no 'Standard' height.
A sculpture of Napoleon (stand down Kevin not you) ;) who was pretty short and Harold Hadrada who was apparently a whopper at well over 6' is a classic example - Should the sculptor them both 54 mm high in which case they would look incorrect alongside each other?

As a fan of 54's myself I often find that figures from different manufacturers which might look great based up together unfortunately don't work because of slight scale differences unfortunately.

Most Alexandros 54 mm's are closer to 65 or maybe even a bit larger. Personally I don't give a toss. What matters to me is that their Classical Antiquity range is sculpted by God (aka Laruccia) :D:D;)

In theory, everything sculpted to a specific scale should sit comfortably with others. However, the reality is far different and largely depends on the interpretation of the sculptor. I dont think too many people here get hung up on scale, what matters is the quality of the figure itself(y)

as a general rule of thumb, for 54 foot figures, the smaller ones are Andrea < Pegaso < Alexandros = Art Girona

Here's an Andrea brit with an Alexandros german:

I have the Alexandros Signifier. The pony is clearly large as is the figure which outsizes all my metal modeles and ex-le Cimier figures.
