Hi Kev, these days I can't even run, let's face it my Granddaughter walks faster than I do and she is only 4 next month. Thanks for your kind comments, if my brood actually get me what I want for christmas, they always ask and then just get the usual dad presents for me! So.if all.my wishes to santa are fulfilled I have a good stash to choose from, I'll have to paint faster. Hope all your issues are sorted mate and you can u7relax a bit.

Cheers Simon

Beautifully done, Simon. Your detail on a 54mm figure is nothing short of amazing.
Rick

Rick, thanks for that it is much appreciated, I spent quite a few years painting 28-32mm gaming figures with as much detail as I could get into them. It pays off when the scale increases. What you see in this figure though is a lot of relearning of techniques and sharpening of skills as I was in a real slump at the start of the year. Just pleased I can paint well again.

Cheers Simon

Excellent Simon. I have saved the pictures.
Glad you enjoyed the figure and Antonio's sculpting. A great sculptor and friend.. I hope to have more from this period and scale in the near future.

Cheers

Cheers Stu, much appreciated and yes it was a great figure to paint. More of the period would be great, 54mm or 75mm makes no real odds I suppose, it's down to what is best for you.

Cheers Simon

My very first Troop 54 figure in my favourite scale, just as Stu is dropping the 54mm figures, oh well such is life.

This was a very enjoyable project, the figure is a joy to paint and the detail is exceptional, this always makes painting a lot easier. I used mostly Scale 75 colours, with the odd Vallejo or Reaper colours, the webbing was finished with an oil glaze to correct my over black rendition. He is mounted on a black painted Sovereign 2000 resin column base.

That’s a very nice piece Simon and well presented

(Sorry I'm late)
That's a very nice job. I like the colours and contrasts - although I believe you had some reservations? It works very well as a finished piece.
And a tad out of the ordinary, too, which is never a bad thing.
