an absolutely excellent work which has really fascinated me in folkestone, your modelling and also the first-class painting of Ben.

With our common beer on the Friday evening and your description of the figure I could not fancy yet so properly what expects me there. The greater was the surprise.

You know, when I was taking pictures near fantasy stand, and heard what people saying about our Alice, how they enjoy this piece, medal became not so important for me... Still I'm very glad to have it, I've hoped for gold, but to get silver is great too. After all here in Latvia I'm the only one who has anything at all
And I must say thanks a lot to everyone who comes to such shows and share... because I've very improved my sculpting since I've began to visit shows. Even if ones work is not very skillful but have a "spark" in it, you never know how it can inspire others... So please do come and share.

I am an Alice in Wonderland Fan and always enjoy seeing new interpretations. It has been said in the above comments. Just a fabulous piece. I like the colors, the painting, the balance along with Alice being the larger, central figure. It's got motion, wimsy, humor, and captures the characters in the story. Enjoyed looking at it online, hope to see it in person one day.

So our Alice did very well this year. She was awarded with gold at Painting Crusade, with gold and "Best Of Show" in Kulmbach, and with gold at World Expo. Now it's time to let her go...
We decided to sell her, so anyone interested please contact me in Private.
And, I must say, it's painted green, it's one and only...

I am sorry, I simply cannot believe that a work like this took a silver. This is one of the best pieces that I have seen. To me, you both have captured the essence of the story and placed it on a base. If I have never read, Alice In Wonderland, I would have an excellent idea of what the story is about just by viewing it. This would be an instant best of show where I come from.
