Does anyone have tips on modifying metal flats?
I was having a non serious practice play with this 80mm flat today, off work for a day with serious knee pain so concentration was limited.
It was only when I came to block in the moustache that I realised the painted version I had seen had been changed. As you can see, on the cast I have the moustache runs into the sideburns. On the original painted one, it doesn't.
Is this a simple as carving away the bit in between or, as I suspect, the metal carved away and then re modelled?
If it needs re modelling, what is the best stuff to use as I have never done anything like this before.
The cast (please ignore the painting)
