Love the pose and casual feel although I'm not so sure about the sabre hanging from his wrist when he's holding the musket (personally I'd pop it back in the scabbard)

Nice figure but +1 to what Paul said. It makes no sense having a firearm in the hand whilst trying to aim and shoot with nearly 3.5 feet of steel hanging from the wrist. The hilt attached to the scabbard would (IMHO) look much better for this pose.

Dear friends, thank you very much for your comments. As for the carbine and saber. this is the usual position at the start of an attack. When approaching the enemy, only one shot was made from the carbine, then a saber was used, which was already almost in the hand. The carabiner remained hanging on a special bracket.

Great looking piece. Seem to remember Von Ottenfeld depicting Austrian Hussars on vedette with the sabre and carbine held in this manner. Might be in one of the Osprey books on Austrian Napoleonic cavalry. I’ll see if I can root it out,

Great!And the top of the pops would be a head with the furbusby for the other Prussian hussar Regiments 1,2 and 3 and some of the Frei-Hussarenregimenter like Von Kleist or with the stiching of the complete skeleton from the Belling rgt.

Basically, it's excellent.

This famous regiment has been modelled before, but never this well.

And that is a very fine example of a standing horse as well, which not everybody gets right.

Found some pictures by Ottenfeld showing the sabre round the wrist. Not sure if it’s historically accurate or artistic licence but thought they may be of interest.
