The AMT show was held the past week end at Torrent, Spain. There were lots of figures entered, among them quite a few from fellow planeteers, both from Spain and abroad.

The BOS figure was an excellent 70mm French infantry officer 1870 sculpted by Steffano Cannone and painted by Pepe Gallardo. In fact that figure is the master from which Elite is to release their next new kit, a special show-release version being on sale at Elite's stand there (yes, I did buy one :) ).

Many figures we've seen develope from armature in several SBS's here at pF were entered, among them some works by Ori, Marijn van Gils and Calvin Tan, just to name a few. (BTW, Ori's first commercial effort, a 54mm XVII cent bandoler highwayman, was also released at the show by Toro Models)

I'm sorry i did not take any pictures. I'm sure sooner or later someone will post loads of them.

Thanks Luis for the heads-up on the AMT show. Congratulations to our planet members who placed in the show. A special congratulations to Pepe for his BOS.

Good pic coverage of the show has been posted at Lilliput

Here is the BOS, which, as i said, will be soon released by Elite in kit form:

I'm am continually impressed by the creativity of European modelers. There are at least two examples among those photos of a stock bust (the Elite Confederate trumpeter, I think) that were converted to something very different. Awesome stuff!

Holy _ _ _ _! Excuse me. That is just awesome. I hope that will be one of the future releases from Elite for their Franco Prussian line. What a figure.~Gary

My sentiments EXACTLY Gary! FP figures aren't really my bag but a nice figure is a nice figure. This one will be on the short list of things to get this year at Mastercon.

Totally agree with you Jim. I concentrate almost exclusively in 1/35 or 54 mm with the occasional foray into 1/43 Grand Prix driver figures, but this one is outstanding and a MUST HAVE.

The close-ups are terrific. Thanks very much Paco ;) . Mr Canone's detail work is so good, and the Pepe Gallardo paint job...well, what can one say. Yes, definitely a contender for the No 1 slot on Liliput.

I've got a vintage 1890s book of Alfonse de Neuville prints which is full of characters like this guy!
