Hi all
Finally got this old geezer finished - WIP WIP - "Fetch me an ale and I'll tell ye a tale" | planetFigure | Miniatures
So, what have we got?
1/9th Scale Resin Bust sculpted by Yuri Serebriakoff, originally sold under Castle Miniatures banner, but now on Steve Kirtley's (SK Miniatures) catalogue.
Painted using Acrylics (Vallejo, Scalecolor and Citadel), and W&N Oils
Base from Pete's Bases. Name plate on order from Paul and Julie at Name-it.
I wanted to add some interest to the plinth, so I made a "Jolly Roger" flag from drafting linen and draped it over the top. I think it works OK. I was going to perch the bust on an alloy rod, but because the back is well cut away, it looked top-heavy, so I opted to pin it straight into the plinth using 2mm brass stock.
I'm pleased with the result. What say you guys?
Thanks for looking in
Phil
