My wife and I enjoy watching Love your garden, where Alan Titchmarsh transforms special peoples gardens. Today programme which I'm watching now, is about a Ghurka based in Folkestone named Hari. He lost both legs while serving in the Helmund Province. Despite dealing with his difficulties, he spends a lot of his time helping people in all sorts of ways. What an incredible gentleman.
Alan Titchmarsh and his team are going to transform his garden in Canterbury so he can relax and help him deal with stress disorder.
For those who attend Euro Militaire, you may or may not be aware the we have help from the Ghurka's in setting up and clearing down the hall, its possible that Hari may have been one of them.
I would appreciate your thoughts on the following idea.
We sometimes make collection at Euro for a charity of sorts, my idea would be to contact the organiser and suggest we raise money for Hari and his colleagues who suffered similar injuries.
What do you think?
