As many of you know I am on of the partners of Kings Road Miniatures. We do figures of early 20th century aviators and some early entertainers. Today we had our first contact from an estate management company. They represent Pancho Barns, and they did not bring the hammer down on us. Which they could have easily. In fact they offered what I can only call extremely good terms for us to do an official figure of her. We may end up doing a whole new figure. (Smoking is bad, Ok) They have some issues with our current figure. But what I feared could be the end of our little enterprise has now turned in to a good opportunity. Life is strange some times, but today it was a good strange.

That's good to hear things worked out fairly :)

Sometimes that's the only way to get attention for licensing. You could spend months emailing, mailing and faxing and never get the right folks but the moment you release a piece, bam there are the lawyers.

Any press is helpful, especially when raising awareness for miniatures :D

You are not the first person to tell me that Gordy. I am in contact with a woman who would really like to see her famous pilot friend made in to a figure all because of the last few days posts on Face Book. So it is working out to be good for us.

There was the one he mentions and also one by Fine Molds in plastic, but it needs work to really look like him. The one on the right is the Fine Molds kit. I opened the stance. Cut off the boots he was wearing and put shoes on the figure. Badder never wore boots because he did not need them. I re-sculped his right arm and put his hand in his pocket. Badder always had his hands in his pockets. I re-sculpted his hair, and turned his head. I may have added the fur collar as well. It has been so long. These are very old figures and a bad photo on top of that so do not be too hard on me.
