Well, i cut the figure, using a razor blade, I extract the edge from his plastic casing and make many tiny dents in order to get a small saw. This is the best method to cut miniatures. It´s necesary to make dents again when it´s been used.

I use a similar method -

What are you using for your armature rigging? I like using solder wire for my rigging I find it much easier to saw through than a paper clip!!
