Well, it has been a VERY long time since I posted anything. I have been working insane hours trying to keep our little 3-man company alive and don't know how much longer that's going to be true. From the beginning of the year, there was about a 6 month patch where I didn't even know my paint room existed ... I finally decided it was time to put a little balance back in my life and have painted up a few things. They are probably a tad hurried, but it was really fun to get back to the hobby.
Here's another ... a gorgeously sculpted and ridiculously detailed piece (1/7 scale or so) from pkking. I call it Ancient Guardians ... I was inspired by the legend of Kuan Yin the bodhisattva who sent guardians in the form of peacocks to watch over and protect her followers. That sent me down the path of peacock feathers for our heavenly guardians who stand atop their demonic foe that they have just slain. I also went w/ a copper / patina color palette on much of the piece to give it that ancient look. Oh, and check out the cool "face" in the demons armor ... very creepy.
