I bought a mini yesterday (@Bolton show - cheers to everyone I've met there).
And now I'm rushing to start working on it before I lose all my enthusiasm.
The plan is to finish it in time for the show in Crew (this year, not 2026;p) which is a tall order for me and my painting speed.
So I'm publishing first photos here to maybe keep myself in check.

I haven't decided on the colour scheme yet, though. (I have 3 90mm crusaders that will be painted white, black, and red, so I don't really mind for this little fella).
I'm thinking red tunic and black cloak maybe?

What do you think?

cheers

The garb of an initiated Ritterbruder was white with a black cross. The garment/cloak, called camilis , would also be white with black cross.
A grand master would additionally wear a golden cross with eagle and, depending on the time, also his personal coat of arms. This "worldly" practice was forbidden in the mid 14th century.
The Order had "guest" knights who would aid them in crusade, so theoretically you could paint it up as anything you wish, but considering he wears the cloak of an initiated, high ranking member under his hood I would use the classic black/white scheme and the hood in a complimentary colour like red.
