That's interesting Mike, Blick's Kolinskys are very likely to be made for them under licence and it's possible they're from Escoda (who also make brushes for Cheap Joe's) if so it could certainly account for the similarity.

How do you find the brushes by the way? I got one to test the last time I ordered from Dick Blick and so far I'm quite happy with the quality.

Einion,

I thought that probably Blick's and Andrea might be made by the same manufacturerer. Unfortunately, I can't critique the Blick's brushes as I haven't had a chance to use them yet.

I like Cheap Joe's stuff as a rule, but most of their brush lines seem large for figure painting. Are there some lines that work well for what we do?

I checked with Dick Blick and yes, a number of their brushes are made for them by Escoda (a very good brushmaker for anyone unfamiliar with them).

If the Andrea brushes feature triple-crimpled ferrules as well they'll also be from Escoda.
