97 people that have seen this topic and no respons??

Or its a excellent piece or work or its totally nothing that nobody has something to mention

Ron

Ron, Don't take it personal, people may just not have any comments about the piece in general. Continu to post pictures of the piece's progress, I'm sure you'll get some responses.~Gary

I agree with Gary, Ron,
I like what you have done so far and look forward to seeing this bust progess further. I have always admired it since it is a get-away from the usual military subjects we so often see.

Many peope do not have a background in the subject and will not comment. You can look in many of the vbenches and you will see many many views with very few comments. This seems to be the way with all the forums I visit daily.

Hi Guys I doint take anything personal I know how its works on forums there are more lurkers then active members ;)

I was hoping on some comments how to improved the face (or not) because this is the first time that I working with acryl.

I hope that I learn much here frome you guys.

Ron

Sorry for the English its good but not that good ;)

Hello Ronald,

So, finally you find the way to the Planet.
Well, i make some comments:
You asked for it  (BTW it is not the TWENOT; critism is here great but always to building up your skills, and the guys here have alot of experience. So learn.
I find the colour of the face to pale. The contrast is to low, and the wrinkles in the face are stripe's instead of smooth transitions.
The white of the eyes is to white, so they look pop-eyed. In my opinion eyes looking forward are always on that risk.
I think that it is painting in acrylic that is making the trouble. I 've seen figure painting of you in oils and that seems alot better.

Veel succes ermee, maar ik blijf acryl erg moeilijk vinden. Daarom ben ik weer overgestapt op olie

Marc.

Thnx Marc or not ?

First to say this are not the best pictures, they are taken direcly with flash to the figure
thats maybe the reason that the face looks pale.
For the first time with acrylics I think its looks ok far away of perfect (if that excist) but the beginning is there.

The hars shadow lines I agree with you but doint know how I must correct that and hope that somebody can help me out with that.

The eyes yes thats not good :(

Ron

Hello Ron,

That's exactly what i mean about the Twenot. They made their critics but never mentioned an solution.
To make the shadows not so hard try (in oils it works, but you can do it with oil) the make a lighter shadow. Then bring the paint to the edges of the wrinkles an slightly fade it into the dark. The deepest shadows will be dark and it become lighter to the surface  .
Then the hard line become smoother and looks better.

Marc
