Hi guys just finished this one, really enjoyed painting it.A great casting with only the hand holding the sword and the beard to add. I tried a limited palette using four colours brown madder,indigo,gold ochre,flesh ochre plus white.Hope you like it all comments welcome.

well done.
I'm actually painting a bust with a limited palette of 3 colors.
Its not easy and you did succes this one.

Great work here David! Your muted palette is pefectly executed! Are you an oils man? If so, can you share how you're getting the lovely short hair effect and 5 O'clock shadows so nicely even and realistic. Thanks!

Thanks guys for all your kind comments.Yes Jay all painting in oils,mostly painted wet on dry and using stains all done over white undercoat no underpainting.The hair effect was done with subtle stippling over dryed flesh.

This is a wonderful work.
A facial expression is nice.
The fur expression is also beautiful.
And a ground work is original and great.
I'd like the feel of a material of the snow.
