Ok, made some progress this evening, got the arm and rifle attached. That sucked, need to bring the color values up on the rifle arm to match the other side. Got the web gear painted on the front side. The back side web gear base coated and I have a long way to go yet.

Right about now I’m sick of painting khaki, green and pretty much khaki. Just kidding it’s a fun paint, but a little tedious trying to differentiate shade of khaki.

Liking the webbing so far , a lot of good areas on the sculpt to paint , always interesting watching the less colourful uniforms being painted , takes a good eye for sure

I see there's a US flag looming on the horizon ....that will be a challenge or do you have a scaled decal ready ?

who has the good eye now?

There is some pretty detailed panting that has to occur later in paint job.

I have (4) “U.S” marking to paint on equipment, the American flag and the 82nd Airborne patch to paint.

I may also do Batallion Markings on the Helmet.

At least the AB isn't too complicated !

.....like the idea of the Bn marking ....will you open up /rip open. the helmet net for access ?

Evening update: spent most of the evening on detail work. A lot of practice: painted the “U.S.” markings on the haversack, Musette Bag and Canteen. I took a stab at the the American flag. I started the 82nd patch but I ran out of steam. I’ll take a shot at that tomorrow.

As for the flag ......considering the scale it looks good , think you might tidy it up if poss ?

Lettering .....will work well ....I like the lettering in left row, 3rd down , what's on the equipment looks good as well

.....and your going for Airborne as well !....impressive

I'll be cleaning up the flag and the blue field. It's rough. I'd hate to use decals when I know I've got in me to paint it. It may just take longer than I like and working the paint until it feels right.

More detail work to do later this evening. Have to finish "All American" patch. The "AIRBORNE" on the tab will be a challenge. Clean uo the flag and finish the top half of the figure.

I had enough with trying to get the flag perfect. I the stripes worked out. The stars on the field of blue are near impossible to get any level of detail on. I feel humbled.

My eyes are tired.

Very close to finishing the uniform , the painting has really brought this fellow to life proving how good the sculpt is , really nice work on the badges as well ....on both arms

I resized pics , noticed a nicely done base with groundwork off camera ....for this piece ?
