Very nicely done Mark. You got all the detail that really sets this one off very well. Great attention to detail in all aspects and painting, beauty!(y)

Cheers, Ski.:D

Very nice work. The dirty white works well and all the other aspects are superbly painted.(y)

Very nice painting, the white uniform of a dream.
Perhaps you would have him still a green stripe sleeves to paint.
This was worn on the winter uniform to distinguish them from the Russians, Friendly Fire!
But that only marginally.

Cheers

Thanks for all the encouraging comments fellas I really appreciate it.
Hendryk thanks for that tip about the colour band on the sleeves. It's not to late for me to apply a band and paint that detail in.
Since you alerted me to this I've seen red bands as well as green.
Any significance to the colour and were the bands simply removeable arm bands?
Thanks again...cheers.

Nice work Marc. The removable cloth bands were fastened to a button on the sleeves. The colors of the bands were constantly changed to avoid that opponents would disguise themselves as "Germans".
All the best
Martin

Thanks Martin. That's great, I reckon I'll have a go at including an arm band.
It would break up the 'full on' white effect anyway.Great, thanks again.

Thanks Carl, I found a site that has samples of dolls house wallpaper with samples from the 1700's to present...you can print it out to suit the scale you want.I chose an early 1900's style to represent an old out of fashion 1940's interior.
Thanks Ben, yes it's a great kit, certainly not the era I usually paint but I've really admired the kit for some time and recently got it from a fellow collector at a good price.
Cheers..

The armbands were removed and were color selected so that they have not been confused with those of the Russians.

However, I know, only these two colors.

Would normally have a machine gun lying next to him, as to your sniper rifle to be put in danger the prisoner could disappear very quickly. A captured German sniper as was cruelly abused and killed.

Cheers

Hendryk
